GS Summer Travels

Summer is a busy travel time for GS staff and we just wanted to update you on our comings and goings. Please keep us in your prayers, especially for our staff trips abroad.

At the end of July, Esther Movement, our global women's ministry known as {em}, is heading to San Francisco to serve the marginalized women of the Tenderloin. This vision and service trip is intended to both educate and stretch the team beyond their comfort zones. Partnering with Because Justice Matters, a ministry on the ground in the neighborhood, the team will prepare meals for the homeless, hand out care packages to working girls, and prayer walk some strip clubs. There is also an opportunity to serve at The Well, a drop-in center run by Because Justice Matters, where local women can retreat and be refreshed with care and compassion. Please be praying for our {em} ladies as they strike out to serve and stretch and grow. Watch the {em} page for photos and a trip report soon. More info on the trip can be found here.

In August, Janet and a small {em} team will be visiting our Kyrios friends in Costa Rica to explore partnership opportunities with two very special women leaders in the area. Pastoras Maria and Engracia are tireless and faithful Kingdom servants in the region who are seeking training and leadership development. This trip is intended to encourage these key leaders, develop connections and relationships, and build a foundation for future service opportunities with these women and those they serve. Please be praying for Janet and her team!

Also in August, Ron will be visiting Gavi Moldovan, our GS Ministry Partner in Romania. Gavi has faced many challenges in recent years and this trip will focus on encouragement and direction, a listening ear, and much prayer together. Also, Ron and Gavi will be investigating collaboration possibilities with His Healing Hands and a medical trip to Romania next summer. This would link Gavi's church planting efforts with practical service within local Romanian communities. Finally, Ron would like to present Gavi with a love offering to offset the skyrocketing costs of doing ministry in eastern Europe. This would serve as a huge encouragement to this faithful kingdom strategist and church planter. If you can help with this, please click here.

Travel funds are still being raised for all these trips so let us know by emailing if you'd like to help in that way.
