Nurturing Relationships in Malawi

God has been knocking on the door of our hearts to meet with our long time partners in Africa face-to-face. Originally introduced to GS by our founder Roy Smith, Medson Mzonda has faithfully served the people of Nsanje, Malawi for 30 years now, established 16 churches, equipped leaders, and loved the communities in his region, but what are his next steps?

We are committed to helping Medson chart that course. With Bob Willis and myself, he and three other key regional leaders will be attending a conference led by other Africans on Discipleship Making Movements (DMM). Miraculously, we discovered this opportunity through a homeless friend whose father knows a missionary connected with Africans involved in Discipleship Making Movements. And miraculously, Janet Norem from California, a missionary in neighboring Zimbabwe will be attending with us, giving us free valuable advice and direction that comes from living in Malawi and Zimbabwe for 15 years. God is the ultimate orchestrator isn’t He? Please pray that our times of partnership discussion, encouragement, and seeing the ministry of this faithful work will bring clear next steps for Global Sharing with these marginalized and forgotten people in a very remote part of Africa. God is not finished writing this story!!! We will be there May 5-19. Thank you for praying!
